Fans of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” are always on the lookout for news about the anime. While they were thrilled with the release of the hit movie “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” in 2025, they are now counting down to March 6, a date that is shaping up to be a big day for fans. Social media, forums, and fan communities are already full of speculation, theories, and expectations about what might happen on that day. We’ll explain why in this article, so you don’t miss anything that’s coming in the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” universe.
Why is March 6 a big day for fans of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba”?
It turns out that the film “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” will return to theaters in the United States on March 6, 2026. That’s right: after breaking box office records when it was first released in North American theaters in September 2025, it is now returning for a limited time, but in a totally different format. We’re talking about ScreenX, an immersive cinema experience that expands the film projection to 270 degrees and extends the main image to the side walls of the theater.
The film will be shown both in Japanese with English subtitles and in its English dub, starring Channing Tatum and Rebecca Wang.
To the delight of fans, advance ticket sales began on February 20, so you can now purchase a seat through the film’s official website and the platforms of participating cinema chains. Although March 6 is the most eagerly awaited date for anime fans in the US, it is important to note that this film will be re-released in the same new format in the UK, but will arrive the following day: Saturday, March 7.
The feature film shows us Tanjiro Kamado and his companions after completing the grueling Hashira Training program, when suddenly Muzan appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion to unleash a crisis that drags all the hunters to the mysterious Infinity Castle, a labyrinthine setting that becomes the battlefield for the final war between humans and demons. It is worth noting that “Infinity Castle” is the first installment of a trilogy that adapts the final arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga.
