One of the most recognizable faces in cinema over the last fifteen years, Chris Hemsworth comes across as a good-looking guy, capable of playing both comedic and serious roles, as well as purely action-packed ones (see Thor and his arc in the MCU). That dazzling smile, those sea-blue eyes, and that exceptional physique have allowed him to achieve any goal. Nevertheless, we are certain that no one, at least for the moment, is able to reach—or even come close to—the level of coolness that has revolved around Brad Pitt for more than three decades now. And apparently, not even someone like Chris Hemsworth has been able to resist the charm of the F1 star.
The Thor actor, a big fan of Brad Pitt—so much so that he and his wife decided to name their son Tristan, after the character in Legends of the Fall—recounted his experience of meeting the living legend: “I met Brad once. I’m a huge fan of his, obviously, and I had this slightly awkward interaction where he tried to shake my hand, I tried to hug him. That kind of in-between situation. And then it almost turned into a kiss…” A funny anecdote that highlighted the actor’s embarrassment towards his idol and source of inspiration.
Hemsworth continued, recounting how he found himself in a situation where he struggled to remain calm, despite being told well in advance that he would be meeting the actor: “I was standing on the other side of the room and my agent said to me, ‘He wants to meet you!’. And I said, ‘What, who? He doesn’t want to meet me!’. And then, finally, an hour later, I said, ‘Oh, Brad, you’re here!’, implying that he didn’t know he was actually there. In short, despite being the god of thunder, Hemsworth is still a human being with real human feelings. And who knows if one day we’ll see Pitt and Hemsworth together on the big screen.
