The official website tab for the upcoming anime film Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway released a main trailer and image today. The trailer features the film’s theme song, “Last Dance Anata to” (“The Last Dance with You”), performed by Japanese singer-songwriter MISIA, for the first time. For the first time in her 28-year career, MISIA—Japan’s leading female R&B singer, who has been responsible for closing Team Red’s performances at NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen for seven consecutive years—is performing a theme song for the Detective Conan anime.
“I am delighted to have had the opportunity to sing the theme song ‘Last Dance Anata to’ for the movie Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway,” said MISIA. “‘Last Dance Anata to’ conveys not only the bittersweetness of ‘the end,’ but also the feeling of time that never truly ends within the heart, and the bonds that never fade. The memories we share together will continue to support me. I entrusted this silent strength to this song. Amidst the tension and lingering resonance of the story, I hope this piece will gently accompany your heart. Please experience it on the powerful screen of the cinema.”
As the 29th installment in the Detective Conan anime film series, Fallen Angel of the Highway is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 10, 2026. Takahiro Hasui (Mob Psycho 100 III) directs, with Takahiro Okura (Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram) writing the script and Yugo Kanno (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, PSYCHO-PASS) composing the music for the TMS Entertainment production. Based on Gosho Aoyama’s manga, the Detective Conan anime originally debuted in Japan in 1996. It currently has over 1,000 episodes, with a selection of them available on Crunchyroll.
Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway is described as follows:
Conan, Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro were heading to Yokohama’s Minato Mirai district with motorcycle enthusiast Masumi Sera for the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival.
Then, a mysterious black motorcycle appeared, jumping over the car carrying Conan and the others. Chasing after it was Chihaya Hagiwara of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Mobile Traffic Unit, the “Goddess of Wind” whom Ran had once seen. However, after a fierce chase, Chihaya’s motorcycle was wrecked, and she let her target escape at the last moment.
Upon arriving at the festival grounds in Yokohama, Conan and the others witnessed the unveiling of a new police motorcycle equipped with cutting-edge technology, called “Angel.” Amidst this, reports emerged that a fugitive “black motorcycle” had now appeared in central Tokyo, evading pursuit by the Metropolitan Police Department. The purpose of the commotion remains unknown, but the vehicle’s body bears a striking resemblance to “Angel.” The police have nicknamed the black Angel motorcycle “Lucifer” and continue their search.
Who is the culprit, and what is their purpose? And for some reason, memories of her younger brother, Kenji Hagiwara, and her colleague, Jinpei Matsuda, crossed Chihaya’s mind… The fastest battle mystery in history begins: the Goddess of Wind (Angel) versus the Fallen Black Angel (Lucifer).
